On the 31 May, 2016, the Shanghai branch of the Chinese Academy of Science visited the Department of Innovation Economics and the China Center. The four member delegation led by Professor CAO Amim came together for the introductory knowledge exchange at the TU Berlin. Professor CAO (SAST), Professor Blind (Innovation Economics), Ms. Skurski (Office of Foreign Relations) and Dr. Abels (China Center) presented the university campus and shared TUB’s politics of cooperation. Possible joint research projects identified include innovation technology and innovation in the economy.
The Shanghai Academy of Science and Technology (SAST, 上海科学院) is a Chinese Think Tank for the city government in Shanghai. The research facility is comprised of 40 units with more than 9.600 employees, including 9 members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE). More than 7.700 engineers are working in research and development to develop innovative technology and services for Chinese society.
