On February 24, 2017, Raquel Orcos Sánchez joined the TU Berlin’s Chair of Innovation Economics as a guest scholar. She holds a PhD in Economics and Strategic Management from the University of Zaragoza. Currently, she works at the Public University of Navarre as an assistant professor. Her research is focused on competitive dynamics and the diffusion of management standards. The first research line seeks to determine the consequences of competition on firms’ performance, paying special attention to competitive externalities and to multimarket competition. The second research line expects to shed light on the uneven worldwide distribution of management standards by analyzing how the institutional framework influences their adoption. Raquel is looking forward to look into this line with the help of Prof. Dr. Knut Blind. The research of Raquel have resulted in publications in several journals, such as Long Range Planning, Journal of Evolutionary Economics and Strategic Organization.
